Mukhyamantri Swa-Niyojan Yojana Assam: A Step-by-Step Guide to Applying for Self-Employment Scheme
Mukhyamantri Swa-Niyojan Yojana is a self-employment scheme launched by the Government of Assam to encourage entrepreneurship and create job opportunities for the youth in the state. Here are the steps to apply for the scheme:
- Eligibility Criteria: The applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam, aged between 18 and 40 years, and must have passed at least Class X.
- Selection of trade: The applicant must choose a trade from the list of approved trades under the scheme, which includes industries such as food processing, agriculture, handicrafts, tourism, and others.
- Preparation of project report: The applicant must prepare a project report with details of the proposed business, including the investment required, expected returns, marketing plan, and other relevant details.
- Submission of application: The applicant must submit the project report along with the application form, which can be downloaded from the official website of the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training, Assam.
- Approval of loan: The application will be scrutinized by a district-level committee, and if approved, the applicant will be eligible for a loan of up to Rs. 10 lakh from a bank.
- Training: Once the loan is approved, the applicant must undergo a training program to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to run the proposed business successfully.
- Disbursement of loan: After the training program, the loan amount will be disbursed to the applicant's bank account, and he/she can start the business.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: The Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training will monitor the progress of the business and provide necessary support and guidance to ensure its success.
