CRPF Recruitment 2023: 212 Vacancies for SI and ASI Posts


Central Reserve Police Force has announced recruitment for 212 Group “B” and “C” non ministerial, non gazetted, combatised Signal staff in CRPF in the cadre of Sub Inspector (Radio Operator/ Crypto/Technical/Civil) & ASI (Technical/Draughtsman).

The details of the vacancies are as follows:

  • Sub-Inspector (RO): 19 posts Pay: Pay level-6, Pay matrix Rs. 35400-112400 Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University with Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science as subjects.


  • Sub-Inspector (Crypto): 7 posts Pay: Pay level-6, Pay matrix Rs. 35400-112400 Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University with Mathematics and Physics as subjects.


  • Sub-Inspector (Technical): 5 posts Pay: Pay level-6, Pay matrix Rs. 35400-112400 Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech or Equivalent in Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer Science as the main subject or Qualified Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers or Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers.


  • Sub-Inspector (Civil) (Male): 20 posts Pay: Pay level-6, Pay matrix Rs. 35400-112400 Essential Qualification: Intermediate with three years diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Board/Institution or University or equivalent.


  • Assistant Sub-Inspector (Technical): 146 posts Pay: Pay level-5, Pay matrix Rs. 29200-92300 Essential Qualification: 10TH Class pass from a recognized Board with three years diploma in Radio Engineering or Electronics or Computers, from a recognized Institute or BSc. Degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized University. Desirable: Preference shall be given to persons having training in Software or Hardware computers.


  • Assistant Sub-Inspector (Draughtsman): 15 posts Pay: Pay level-5, Pay matrix Rs. 29200-92300 Essential Qualification: Pass in Matric with English, General Science, and Mathematics from a recognized board with three years diploma in Draughtsman Course (Civil/ Mechanical Engineering) from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic.

The CRPF SI recruitment has specific age requirements for each position

For Sub Inspector positions in Radio Operator, Crypto, and Technical categories, the candidate should be below 30 years of age as of the closing date of applications, which is 21/05/2023. For SI (Civil), the age requirement is between 21 to 30 years as of the closing date of application.


As for the Assistant Sub Inspector positions in Technical and Draughtsman categories, candidates should be between 18 to 25 years of age as of the closing date of application. The age criteria for all positions also specify that the candidate should not be born before certain dates.

There is also age relaxation provided for candidates belonging to certain categories, such as SC/ST and OBC/MOBC. SC/ST candidates are given a relaxation of 5 years, while OBC/MOBC candidates are given a relaxation of 3 years.

Finally, there is an application fee that candidates must pay to apply for these positions. The fee for UR/EWS/OBC candidates for SI positions is Rs 200/-, while for ASI positions, it is Rs 100/-. However, SC/ST/ExSM and female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
